Submission Guidelines for Contributing Writers

Your purchase of a Corona Journal invites you to become a contributing writer in the Corona Chronicles Book!
The below guidelines and writing prompts are suggestions to assist you with writing a compelling account of
your experience during the Corona Pandemic. 
​Be creative and create a memorable story.
​No one can tell your story like you can, so share your heart!
All articles will be edited and returned to you for review prior to printing.

• DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES - July 15, 2020.
• Your entry must be written in the first person and your personal experiences during the pandemic.
• Maximum word count is 750 and submitted in Word Document.
• Be transparent.
• Allow readers to experience what you felt by sharing and describing your innermost feelings. 
• Don't preach or write a boring essay.
  
• Describe those emotions you experienced when you initially realized your world was changing.
• Share how YOUR experience of the pandemic was different from others.
• Share any funny experiences you or your family had.
  
• Has your normalcy been disrupted? If so, to what degree? If not, why?
• Share how being quarantined affected you. Explain your fears (if any), questions, and anxiety issues.
• Explain if your finances were impacted.
• How did you deal with being quarantined? What did you do?
• How did the quarantine change you?
• Were you creative during quarantine or did you become complacent? Did you learn some things about yourself?
• Did anything positive come out of being quarantined?
• What lessons did you learn during the pandemic?
• If you were considered essential personnel, how did you feel going to work and returning home to family?
• Did you do anything unusual outside of your normal routine to help you through the pandemic.
• What changed in your life and how did you endure the change?
• If you have children, please share how you explained the pandemic to them and if they understood. How did they respond?
• Did you homeschool? Share! ​​
